Join us for worship service, Friday, April 2nd at 7:00pm. This will be combined with a Good Friday Scavenger Art hunt on the grounds of the Church (outside only).(info@capitolhillpres.org or 206-285-2282).
On Easter morning Capitol Hill Presbyterian Church will join three other churches (Church of the Undignified, Church on the Hill, and Mosaic Church)to celebrate a sunrise service in Cal Anderson Park (Denny Way and Nagel Pl, 2 blocks east of our church). Following the service there will be a breakfast here in the Fellowship Hall.(info@capitolhillpres.org or 206-285-2282).
Our church community is working hard preparing for our transformation of Sunday morning. The children’s rotation program of Sunday School begins a month early on March 7th. Adult Discipleship has a full schedule of classes worked out for the first 5 weeks. Worship is working on a 75 minute service. Hospitality is working on new leadership for this new season. Here is the schedule that begins April 11th.
9:30-9:45 am light breakfast in the Fellowship hall. Childcare for 0-3 begins.
One Heart. 9:45-11:am Worship in the sanctuary for ages 13 and above. Worship in the fellowship hall for ages 4 through 5th grade.
11:00-11:15 am Transition time—light refreshments in the fellowship hall.
One Mind. 11:15 am-12:15 pm Christian Education. Rotation Model for ages 4 through 5th grade. Y-9 for middle and high school. A menu of 6 classes for Adults including a Welcoming Center, classes for Faith Foundation, Christian Life, Sermon text study, God in the world and a space for extended worship/prayer/art.
One Body. 12:15-1:00 pm The entire congregation, all ages including infants and children, comes back together to share testimonies, to hear announcements, sometimes share a meal and be together.
