First Light
mentoring children in expressions of worship and praise
The mission of First Light is to mentor children in a deeply rooted understanding of God by teaching and modeling expressions of worship. At first, children remain in the sanctuary for corporate worship, and are invited to stand together up near the front of the sanctuary where they can sing, dance, or pick up a percussion instrument as we worship. During the second half of service, the kids will be dismissed with the First Light leaders to have an interactive lesson based on that week's scripture text. Near the end of service, the kids will rejoin the adults as we sing our closing song.
