Second Wind builds relationship and community within the senior adults (age 50 and over) of our church, and also draws in senior adults from outside the congregation to participate with us.
Third Saturday Luncheons every odd-numbered month (January, March, May, July, September, November) offer meals, Bible study, lively conversation, and prayer support. There is no cost, and transportation to and from the church is available upon request.
On the even-numbered months (February, April, June, August, October, December) Third Saturday Excursions involve field trips that create additional opportunities for socializing, fun, and new experiences. There is no cost and transportation is provided.
Second Wind's next event on Saturday August 7th. You're invited to join us for a field trip that will be a feast for the eyes as well as the palate! It will include a visit to Maltby to see the fabulous Flower World and to tour the factory of Snoqualmie Gourmet Ice Cream. We'll meet at the church at 12:00 noon to carpool and return no later than 4:00 p.m. Please eat lunch beforehand. There is no cost to participants, and ice cream will be served at the factory. Just let Mary K. Roberts (206-324-3031) or Skip (206-244-3423) know you'll be there so that we can plan for the right number. Transportation to and from the church can be arranged by request.
Second Wind also participates in a service project focusing on severely injured soldiers, in affiliation with www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
